  • Backstory: Terrible Travel Agents started life as a game called Stock Up and is essentially Version 4 of that game. Not much remains of the original Stock Up but it gave me a good foundation for what became Terrible Travel Agents. The theme for this game is that players are travel agents desperate to make a profit and they don’t care how they do it. Even at the expense of their own customers!

Terrible Travel Agents has performed well in playtests and was a semi-finalist in TGC’s Everything Has a Price Contest.

Greedy Pigs!

  • Player count: 3-5
  • Play time: 15 min
  • Complexity: Low
  • Backstory: Greedy Pigs! was originally a game idea about ballot harvesting. It was meant to be lighthearted look at the sometimes shady practice. I themed it around vegetables running for office. Then because vegetables don’t have legs of their own, they needed the help of the pigs to collect the votes. But some of those votes might get lost along the way. The idea was funny but ultimately it was a cleaner game to drop the political angle entirely. The next theming iteration had the farmer employing his smart pigs to help bring in the harvest, except they were greedy pigs and they would keep some for themselves. This worked to a certain degree but some parts of the game were more fiddly than was good for a game of this weight. Finally, I settled on the pigs are just brazenly raiding the farmer’s field and trying not to get caught as they push further into the patch for larger hauls of veggies.

Greedy Pigs! has been well received but young and old alike at playtesting events.
